Sociology is the scientific study of human society that focuses on society, human social behavior, patterns of social relationships, social interaction, and aspects of culture associated with everyday life.
Regarded as a part of both the social sciences and humanities, sociology uses various methods of empirical investigation and critical analysis to develop a body of knowledge.

Dr. RASHMI B is currently serving as a sociology lecturer in BALDWIN WOMENS METHODIST COLLEGE for 14years. With a strong passion for understanding social systems, human behavior, and issues of justice and inequality, I have dedicated my academic and professional life to the field of sociology. As a lecturer, I strive to create an interactive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to question, discuss, and apply sociological concepts to real-world issues. Beyond the classroom and research, I have actively participated in departmental initiatives, curriculum development, and student advising. I have attended workshops and seminars aimed at increasing awareness of social issues.
